Life has been crazy recently.  School finished up and I’ve been looking for a job to earn some money for this trip to Mexico.  My dad works for the newspaper, so last night/this morning I started my summer job as a newspaper carrier.  The hours are C-R-A-Z-Y, but I’m relieved to have found a job.  I’ve been thinking alot lately about this trip and all that goes into it even before we start.  Honestly, it has been a struggle for me to trust God’s sovereignty.  I believe whole-heartedly that He called me to this group and to this trip, so I am frustrated with myself for doubting His ability to provide.  I know without a doubt that He is faithful, but the how and when questions keep coming to mind.  As of now, I have raised no support – the only money I have in is the $100 deposit.  It’s discouraging, but it’s also stretching my faith (which is a good thing).  What I am beginning to learn is that God is in control.  It sounds so basic, so fundamental to Christianity, but to really believe it with my heart and let it play out in the way I live my life is difficult.  I am confident this is the Lord’s plan for me, and knowing that gives me assurance that He will be faithful to provide what I need in order to go.  It’s just the waiting and the praying and more waiting that’s the hard part.  So, please pray for me in this area.  I am excited, though, to see how God works, because when He does it will be OBVIOUS that it was Him, not me.  And that’s what it’s all about anyways.  Well, that’s about it for now.  I hope everyone is doing well.  I cannot put into words how excited I am about this coming year and how much I’m looking forward to meeting the Mexico team.  Let’s encourage one another and pray for each other – especially that we can stay in the Word this summer.  It’s so important that we abide in Christ…because we know that apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5).  Have a great week everyone.

Ephesians 3:20,21 – Now to him who is able to do IMMEASURABLY MORE than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!  Amen.
