Well, my name is Abbey and I’ll be going to Mexico in September. I’m really pumped and I can’t wait to meet everyone else who will be going. A few short months ago I was set on a college and had everything pretty much planned out, set in stone, that kind of thing. But then my mind started going and I didn’t know what was happening, but everything that I had thought was so right suddenly felt uncomfortable and I wasn’t at peace. I began praying about it and realized God’s plan was different than that one I had decided for myself. After talking to countless people, I felt the Lord leading me to apply with Adventures In Missions. Through the challenging and difficult times of this process He has gone before me, and now in the excitement He is sharing it with me. I am looking forward to being used by Jesus and am also excited about Him changing me in the process. I’m so exicted to meet everyone and I want to know all about everybody!! Please let me know how you guys are doing and tell me all about yourself!!
Blog
I am doing great! I just went swimming and I smell like Chlorine! Congratulations on your very first post. I’m one of the Africa people but I thought I would give you a nice big welcome anyway. It’s good to have you posting with us.
I’m generally a little nuts and I spend way too much time posting and replying on these blogs. I’m very tall but I’m terrible at basketball. Food is a very dear friend to me and I think steak should be eaten more often. Even though you DID ask me to tell you all about myself. I think I’ll save the rest for later.
Welcome again and God bless ya!
Hey!
It was so cool to read how the Lord changed your heart!I am glad you were obedient to Him and as a result of that we will be on the same team!
So, i am from Romania, but I have lived in Hungary for 4 years now. I serve at WOL ( Word of Life) as an intern as the assistant dean of women. It will be sad when all the students , especially the internationals leave, I got to love these people so much..but hey, such as life!
What are you doing?
Hi, I will be on your team next year, and I just read your post. I myself felt like I was in the same boat. I have already been through one year of college, and was felt led early last fall to take a missions trip (I had never imagined that I would be taking a 9 month one). Anyways, I just wanted to say that I’m am praying for you and the rest of the team, and I can’t wait to meet everyone!
