This week has been crazy and busy.  After visiting different locations, we chose our internships.  It was a difficult process for me because nothing really stood out to me in the beginning.  I thought I should go and check out the prison even though I really didn’t want to, and that was a good experience.  It kind of freaked me out, but I’m glad I got to see it.  We (the group that visited the prison) rode with a group that wanted to check out a place called Esther’s House.  It’s a children’s home for kids whose parents can’t take care of them or who are in jail.  After going to the prison we went to Esther’s.  I’m not really a kid person and so the thought never crossed my mind to give it a chance.  I never saw myself working with children and honestly I don’t really know what to do with them.  But we went and the kids were amazing.  They were all over me and I’m not really sure why, but it was awesome.  I fell in love with it and that’s where I felt God leading me, so on Wednesdays and Fridays I will be interning at Esther’s House.

Not much is going on here other than getting settled in and getting used to the schedule now that our internships have been decided.  This week we’re getting started in ministry and things are picking up.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays we’ll be working in different colonias doing various activities.  Saturdays are the big ministry days and I’m not exactly sure what that will look like yet.

Thank you to everyone who is praying for me.  Satan hates this.  He doesn’t want us to be proactive and he wants us to get discouraged.  But we can expect God to move in big ways, so please pray that He will and that we will keep our focus on Him.
